Near-Field Communication Digital Art Biennale, Warsaw, Poland. 2018

This is the first show of the 3rd edition of the “legendary” digital biennale of digital art in your city. In 2018, apart from Wawa, this independent idea generated in Wrocław, conquers other European cities like Gol in Norway, Amsterdam, Valencia … we also have plans for Berlin and Athens.
You cant miss it!
Grab your smartphone or tablet and prepare yourself for the stream of works made by dozens of Polish and foreign artists operating in the field of digital art based on web browsers.
This Saturday go outside ! You can watch #nfcdab shows individually as well as
with a group of friends. The Warsaw edition is hosted by V9 and ADA. But we go many steps further – during the festival the gallery will also outdoor. The map will lead you to art pieces.

YOUR PHONE IS A FRAME FOR PRESENTED WORKS !!!

We will provide you with the most amazing and unconventional examples sent to our biennials from the endless areas of the Internet. You will see net-art, post-conceptual digital art, glitch art, pseudo “viral” applications, independent music, strange and rare video clips, etc.

All works will be available using mobile devices through QR codes, WiFi routers or RIFID / NFC chips.

Before starting the artistic trip, approach ADY (Puławska 37 and V9 Gallery), where you will get a map with all useful information. The exhibition will take the form of a quasi urban game. You will win when you find works in the original circumstances of nature around.
IMPORTANT!
Prepare your mobile device in advance:
1. Check if you have the best QR code reading app suitable for your phone type.
2. Enter the communication settings and check if you have access to read NFC / RIFID tags and enable them.
3. In the exhibition area you can also connect to our special WiFi routers, thanks to which you will be able to download works prepared by artists for the shows.
4. Search for places with the Biennale logo attached – ART is waiting for you there. A map will lead you to them.
5. Check if you can install applications from unknown sources.

*) In case of any doubts and questions please go to Dominik Podsiadły, originator of # nfcdab, and to a team of co-organizers with V9 and ADA. Dominik will help you to grasp technical and other issues.
If you want to talk or share your impressions – Dominik is happy to talk with you.

WE INVITE YOU ON SATURDAY 23/06/2018 TO ADA AND V9 AT UL.PUŁAWSKA 37 AND TO THE PARK near around

#nfcdab_2 – Lawn Enforcement

lawnEnforcement_flyer2.F

Lawn Enforcement is a section of the #nfcdab proposed and organized by BrowserBased to cheer on and partake in Dominik Podsiadly’s 2nd iteration of #nfcdab, a DIY biennale. Dominik P. is an active presence on the scene and has been a  member of BrowserBased on Facebook. But cooperations with Mr. P. also go way further than Facebook and take place IRL, too. (See: NFC biennales, Wroclaw; ADAF 2015, Athens; Yami-Ichi, Amsterdam and Bring Your Own B*, Amsterdam).

At the core of the DIY biennales are NFC and QR techs that provide and establish, as a figure of speech, access points in versatile contexts of urban settings such as vacant plots, forking paths in parks and commuter trams. The temporary as well as independent character of these biennales preserve and fertilize much valued informal channels for participating artists and audiences.

The planter signs we chose because they are just as easy to place as to take away and re-enforce an important aspect, in the #nfcdabs, of whimsy!

Participating:
Cem Berendsen, Dave Hagen, Domenico Dom Barra, Dominik Podsiadly, Eltons Küns, Emilie Gervais, Florian Kuhlmann, Guido Segni, Jan Robert Leegte, Jeannot GrandLapin, Jonaas Westerlund, Joubin Zargarbashi, Julianne Aguilar, Karina Palosi, Laurus Edelbacher, Maaike Stutterheim, Maarten Schuurman, Philipp Teister, Rad0van Misovic, Tibor Horvath, Tobias Rothe, Wouter Smit, Zsolt Mesterhazy.

Opening: 5 – 7pm, 17.06.2016, Wyspa Słodowa, Wroclaw.
